Job Description

Job Summary

 Provides mid-level professional support for the accounting and reporting of Lifetouch Inc. (Corporate business unit) as well as support of consolidated Lifetouch financial reporting.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with Lifetouch Inc. month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries related to cash, prepaid assets, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and operating expenses.
  • Complete all balance sheet account reconciliations for Lifetouch Inc.
  • Tracking of capital projects and management of fixed assets sub-ledger
  • Assist with departmental P&L reviews; analyzing variances to budgets and prior year.
  • Assist with preparation of Lifetouch Inc. and consolidated Lifetouch financial statements.
  • Assist with preparation of required 10-Q schedules, including statement of cash flows, as requested by Shutterfly technical accounting team.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for Corporate departments.
  • Manage and prepare required governmental financial reports.
  • Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance concentration.
  • CPA preferred.    


  • 2-5 years performing accounting and financial analysis.
  • Sound financial skills and a fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Strong Microsoft skills in spreadsheet software.
  • Lawson software experience preferred.
  • ESSBASE software experience a plus.

When performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, balance, reach, use hands and fingers to perform repetitive tasks and assemble/disassemble equipment.   The employee must be able to frequently lift and move up to 5 pounds (and occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds).
