Job Description

  • Execute marketing tactics and plans the direction of marketing managers/directors
  • Assist in writing business plans identifying objectives, strategies, key initiatives and performance measurements by using insights collected from situation assessment, marketplace information, etc. in order to support division/region portfolio and brand growth targets
  • Work with cross-functional partners to determine, document and communicate seasonal go-to-market strategies and program details
  • Write creative briefs (e.g., physical and digital promotional materials; product and packaging development) that clearly articulate communication objectives and criteria in order to inform and direct agency work and creative development for effective execution of marketing programs and objectives
  • Locate and interpret business results, metrics and research
  • Assess untapped opportunities in order to identify new volume and profit growth areas (e.g., product adjacencies, merchandise categories, new channels of distribution)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Think creatively to develop sound recommendations and solutions to achieve strategic business goals through analytics, analysis and intuition.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.
  • Some experience in development and delivery of business presentations.
    Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing functions and concepts (e.g., digital marketing, brand positioning, market research, SWOT Analysis, competitive assessment, consumer segmentation).
  • Understanding of basic financial concepts (e.g., revenue, cost).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams when necessary
  • Ability to evaluate and understand go-to-market decisions from a consumer’s perspective.
  • Responsive to opportunities for self-improvement.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Required Experience

Education:   

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related business degree required.

Experience: 

Internship in marketing, public relations, advertising, or other related business function desired.

One to three years of experience in consumer marketing/product marketing, advertising, public relations, or business communication on either the client or agency side.
