JOB SUMMARY:

Our Production Specialist is responsible for the prioritization and sending of work orders to the printers.  This role is pivotal for keeping the flow of the production process at PDK.  Qualified applicants must be able to work 2nd shift (4pm-2:30am) for 3 months out of the year as well as overtime and weekends as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives orders from multiple systems and sends them to the printers
  • Verifies orders are accurate and tally up inventory needed
  • Ensure printers always have orders to keep production moving
  • Resend jobs if orders are lost on print device
  • Troubleshoot errored jobs with lead
  • Pull material only jobs and give to the backend for fulfillment
  • Pull rush orders multiple times throughout the day and expedite
  • Count jobs on the print devices at the beginning of each workday and update reports accordingly
  • Pull job counts daily and update reports accordingly
  • Communicate system issues to the production leads
  • Access the inventory control system to order materials for the printers, communicating any shortages to leads

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in production processing environment
  • Alpha numeric and 10-key keyboard experience
  • Experience with computers

Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide guidance to fellow team members
  • Completing daily tasks and responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and flex within the work unit to maintain the appropriate pace
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques

 

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without accommodation, following ergonomic standards
